Air X Charter Limited is a leading private jet chartering company headquartered in Malta. Due to continuous growth, the company is seeking to employ Boeing 737 300/400/500 Captains and First Officers to be based in Manchester or Bordeaux for a low cost operation.

Sales Executive - Private Jets

We are looking for a highly-motivated individual to join the Sales Department as Air X continues to grow and expand its fleet. The chosen individual needs to be driven and have the ambition to succeed as a Sales Executive. You will be trained under the supervision of the Sales Manager and/or Team Leader. This training will give you all the support required to build your skills to a level which will present you a long and successful career in business aviation.

The role includes:

  • Quoting charter flights taking into account availability, fleet optimization and operational restrictions
  • Negotiating prices with charter brokers, evaluating and understanding their requirements in order to close a sale
  • Achieving set team/individual revenue targets
  • Maintaining up-to-date customer information and all customer interactions in the Company database
  • Maintaining up-to-date department documentation for statistics purposes
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations where required
  • Working on a shift-rotation to ensure 24/7 coverage of the Sales Department

Ground Operations Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Exercising operational control within safe efficient planning and monitoring of a flight.
  • Studying aircraft performance and limitations and make decisions on flight acceptance
  • Providing day-to-day administrative, functional and technical direction to the Flight Dispatch and Load Planning
  • Analysing operational conditions and identify any opportunities that may constrain impede, or benefit operational capabilities inclusive of, but not limited to weather, facilities, Air Traffic Control, and aircraft performance.
  • Arranging various services for the flights in the airports of operation, this includes handling services, slots and permits.
  • Maintaining records of crew duty time
  • Scheduling the Fleet respecting the crew duty times and best cost efficient policy
  • Performing Operational Flight Watch and for determining if changes to operational and meteorological conditions may affect the safety of flights within a prescribed area or on assigned routes, and for communicating those changes to the Pilot-in-Command.
  • To provide the Pilot-in-Command with a thorough and professional flight crew briefing, covering all significant information which may impact the operation of his flight.
  • Initiating Accident Alarm Procedures, and assessing and issuing Flight Incident Category Reports, as required, inclusive of the corporate notification process and maintaining a written log during the incident. 
  • Resolving with CAMO, the pilot-in-command, Flight Operations Management and Pilots as required, problems caused by any aircraft deviation from standard which may limit or impact flight operational capabilities, and to communicate any operational limitations as required.
  • Liaising with the Flight Dispatch Manager, for the purposes of maintaining dispatch standard operating procedures and all applicable sections of the Company Flight Operations Manual.
  • Running Reports and statistics relate to Operational matters as required by the management

Requirements & Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position or as a dispatcher in an aviation company. Including experience on A340 size aircraft, ETOPS, Pacific and Atlantic routes.
  • Excellent command of the English language both written and spoken. 
  • EASA approved dispatcher License will be considered an asset. 
  • Candidates must be flexible and able to handle pressure.

Boeing 737 Classic - Captains and First Officers

Minimum Requirements

  • In possession of a current Boeing 737 type rating.
  • Minimum of 4000 flight hours, with at least 1500 hours as PIC and 500 hours on type for Captains.
  • Minimum of 500 flight hours, with at least 250 hours on type for First Officers.
  • A valid EASA/JAA ATPL
  • A valid class 1 medical certificate.
  • Fluent English - ICAO level 4 or better.
  • In possession of an EU/EEA passport and a clean criminal conduct.
  • Applicants are also expected to be disciplined, flexible, responsible, organised and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Cabin Crew Members

Key Responsibilities

  •  Delivering an excellent inflight
  • Cabin, food and drinks preparation.
  • Cleaning and preparation of the cabin for the next flight.
  • Making sure that the aircraft is fully stocked.
  • Ensuring safety of passengers.
  • Completing essential paperwork after each flight and rotation

Required Experience and Skills

  • Experience is not a must, although having 3 months’ experience or more, would be considered an asset.
  • Fluent English
  • Highly professional and able to work both independently and in a team.
  • Knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
  • Holder an EU/EEA passport.
  • In possession of a clean criminal conduct and able to apply for Russian and US visa.
  • In possession of an EASA Initial Cabin Crew Attestation.
  • Knowledge of additional languages will be considered an asset.
  • Must live close or willing to relocate to greater Manchester area.

Technical Officer Assistant to NPFO

Department: Flight Operations
Responsible to: Nominated Person for Flight Operations (NPFO)

Overall Purpose of Position

The position is accountable to the Nominated Person Flight Operations.
The position is responsible to provide general assistance to the NPFO as described below:

Main Areas of responsibility

  • Under the supervision of the NPFO, the Technical Officer will be responsible for flight operations publications including NPFO Directives and Notices, Safety Cards, AFM, FCOM, Operations Manual Parts A, B and C. This will include creation, revision, maintenance of electronic and written policies and procedures to effectively comply with Company policies and procedures, TMCAD and EASA Regulations while ensuring that the standard formatting is followed consistently;
  • Coordinate with the Quality/Compliance Monitoring Manager, Safety Manager and Security Manager corrective actions resulting from inspections and audits. Interface with the auditors to close open items as applicable. Assist in the preparation of planned audits;
  • Keep contact with the Fleet Chiefs and Head of Cabin Services and provide assistance to them as may be required in the performance of their duties;
  • To access aircraft manufacturer’s websites such as MyBoeingFleet, AIRBUSWorld, Embraer and Bombardier, to monitor updates of documentation that are relevant to each fleet of aircraft operated by AirX. As may be assigned by the NPFO act as the administrator of such website;
  • Access the EUR-Lex (Access to European Law), ICAO, AEA, EASA and TMCAD websites as may be necessary to download Regulations and notices relevant to AirX operation;
  • Access the Company’s intranet and IQSMS as may be necessary to read and download documentation necessary for the day-to-day operation;
  • Review Journey Logs, SAFA Reports and SAFA Checklists and bring to the attention of the NPFO any matter that may require further action;
  • Participates in project management, including the addition of new aircraft, introduction of new aircraft types and special approvals;
  • Prepares necessary paperwork for submission for regulatory approval;
  • Keeping up to date all master copies of manuals and documentation belonging to the NPFO Office;
  • Performing routine work assigned to him/her by NPFO and completing tasks as delegated by NPFO;
  • General administration and assisting as and when necessary other staff to maximise work efficiency and enhance work distribution.

Self-improvement

  • Keeping abreast of developments in the field of Word Processing and other job related computer software;
  • Willing to attend training courses related to the post.

Working Conditions

  • Normal office hours. However, when necessary, expected to work beyond office hours in order to meet deadlines.

Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications

  • Ability to work as part of a team in a multicultural environment and maintain the required confidentiality;
  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent knowledge and computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat and other job position related software applications. Knowledge in the use of XML and FODM will be considered a valuable asset.
  • Demonstrated expertise in technical writing as it relates to description of processes, practices, and policies to ensure that written/electronic text content is communicated as intended;
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision;
  • Demonstrated above average ability in written communications especially in the English language;
  • Be knowledgeable in Aviation related matters;

A340 Fleet Crew - Captain and First Officers

Minimum requirements:

  • In possession of a current Airbus A340 Type rating;
  • Captain - Minimum of 4000 flight hours, 1500 as Captain (500 of which on A340)
  • First Officers - Minimum of 1500 flight hours, with at least 200 hours on Airbus A340
  • A Valid EASA/JAA ATPL;
  • A class 1 medical certificate;
  • Business Aviation back-ground is an asset;
  • Fluent English - ICAO level 4 or better;
  • Right to live and work in the EU;

Responsibilities:

  • Broker and Client support
  • Co-ordination of operations daily between internal departments
  • Keeping up to date with all flight changes and updating Work systems and team members for alterations for rescheduling

Flight Support - Catering Co-ordinator

Entry to Mid-Level Position

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Main Duties

  • Delivering exceptional VIP customer service to clients.
  • Building-up and maintaining supplier relations.
  • Dealing with catering options for flight reservations, checking availabilities and operational feasibilities.
  • Following up with clients for confirmation and necessary catering options for flights.
  • Updating CRM system for any future profile preferences.
  • Coordinating catering arrangements and any other client requirements or offering alternative options in case of restrictions.
  • Coordinating with sales team as necessary for trip requirements and budgets.
  • Collaborating with team members, accounting and operations departments to ensure full over view of smooth operations for daily operations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Catering Experience in Aviation industry
  • Proven service experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English – additional languages are beneficial.
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
  • Ability to correctly input data into operating systems.

Finance Junior Clerk

As Finance Junior Clerk, you will be reporting directly to the Finance Operations and Cost Control Manager and you will assist in the below functions:

The position

Daily, you would be working in the below roles: -

  • Application of New Credit Cards as approved by company
  • Cancellation of Credit Cards
  • Forwarding of Regular statements
  • Follow up of Credit Card Receipts with Crew
  • Booking of Receipts
  • Requesting missing documents from suppliers
  • Keeping track of missing credit card statements/receipts and report matters to HR
  • Checking and booking Cash withdrawals.
  • Any other ad-hoc support the company required from time to time

The Individual

The ideal candidate will

  • Hold an A level in Accounting or is in the initial stages of obtaining certification in Accounting Diploma
  • Have at least 2 years experience in an accounting position / aircraft or airport operations environment or crew support
  • Speak and write fluently English as well as have experience with formal business communication
  • Have a good aptitude for working meticulously with good organizational skills as well as have the ability to work on his/her own initiative and have excellent time-management skills.
