Job Title

Finance Executive

Role

Air X is looking for an experienced Finance Executive to join the Finance team in Malta.  Reporting to the Financial Operations Manager, the Finance Executive will take ownership of the accounting records concerning aircraft maintenance.  The chosen candidate will be expected to work very closely with the CAMO department to ensure that reporting of maintenance spend is done accurately, timely and is monitored with set company targets.

What will you do:

  • Vetting and timely posting of supplier invoices.
  • Chasing of supplier invoices.
  • Regular supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Build and maintain supplier relationship with key aircraft maintenance suppliers.
  • Adhering to suppliers’ credit terms by continuously indicating overdue invoices ready to be paid.
  • Determining accurate accruals based on open PO’s.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate posting of inter-company transactions.
  • Inter-company reconciliations.
  • Performing month end routines.

Who are we looking for:

  •  The ideal candidate would have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar role in an accounts payable finance function within an operational environment.
  •   Be in the process of attaining an accounting qualification such as ACCA.
  • Ideally possess knowledge of aircraft maintenance.
  • Team player, flexible and committed individual.
  • Effectively communicates with all team members and across departments.
  • Pro-active and able to work out of own initiative.
  • Meticulous and attentive to detail.
  • Possess sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel.
  • Be highly organised and efficient.
  • Be able to work under tight deadlines and pressure.
  • Fluent in English.

Job Title

Ground Operations Officer

We are a dynamically growing company in the Air Chartering business with a diverse fleet operating on a world-wide level. AirX is an international company offering exposure to various markets and jurisdictions from around the world.

AirX is looking for a Ground Operations Officer to join the Operations team in Malta. The ideal candidate will report to the Nominated Person Ground Operations (NPGO). The role of this position is to assist in planning flight routes, taking into account aircraft performance and loading, weather limitations, airport conditions, arranging all ground handling aircraft parking spots, coordinates passenger, cargo and fuel loading as well as taking care of all handling and permits.

What will you do:

• Exercising operational control within safe efficient planning and monitoring of a flight.
• Studying aircraft performance and limitations; making sound decisions on flight acceptance.
• Providing day -to-day admin., functional and technical direction to Flight Dispatch and Load Planning.
• Analysing operational conditions; identifying and resolving issues which can restrict operations due to unexpected events such as the weather, unavailable slots etc.
• Arranging services related to handling, slots and permits for the flights.
• Scheduling the Fleet while respecting the crew duty times and financial budget.
• Providing PIC with a thorough and professional crew briefing, covering all significant information which may impact the operation of his flight.
• Initiating ERP; assessing and issuing Flight Incident Reports; maintaining a written log during the incident.
• Resolving and communicating with all involved any operational limitations as required.
• Liaising with Team Leader and Senior Ground OPS Officers, for the purposes of maintaining dispatch standard operating procedures and all applicable sections of the Company Ops Manual.
• Running Reports and statistics related to Operational matters.

Who we are looking for:

• Min. 2 years of experience as a Ground OPS Officer or other similar role.
• EASA Dispatcher License would be an asset.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Optimum IT literacy
• Well organized with the ability to multitask, work in a dynamic team environment and on self-initiative.

Job Title

Management Accountant

We are a dynamically growing company in the Air Chartering business with a diverse fleet operating on a world-wide level. AirX is an international company offering exposure to various markets and jurisdictions from around the world.

Air X Charter is looking for a Management Accountant to join the Finance Team. The ideal candidate will report to the Group Financial Director .

Role

The chosen candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all revenue and cost elements of a specific group of aircraft under management are accurately accounted for in the books and recorded on a timely basis. The candidate is also expected to liaise with various departments within the Company in order to anticipate, monitor, verify and approve all cost elements of these aircraft.  Daily monitoring, reporting and forecasting of cashflow from the fleet type will be expected on a daily basis. This will require a strong analytical skillset in order to note potential inaccuracies, cost drivers, and financial trend as well as briefing the Group Finance Director and Senior Management on actual performance.

What will you do:

  • Vetting, approving and posting of supplier invoices.
  • Regularly meeting with Heads of Departments to prepare weekly forecasts of expenditure.
  • Raising invoices for recharges in a timely manner and posting of customer invoices.
  • Coordinating advance payments in accordance with key terms of underlying agreements.
  • Monitoring cashflow on a daily basis ensuring that sufficient funds are maintained for the operations of the fleet type.

 Who are we looking for:

 

  • Fully qualified accountant.
  • The ideal candidate would have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrate the following competencies: flexibility, initiative, effective teamwork, effective communication.
  • Highly organised, meticulous and attentive to detail.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Dynamics is considered an asset.
  • Experience in the aviation industry is desirable.
  • Be able to work under tight deadlines and pressure.
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
